Dr Lorraine Laird

I qualified from Edinburgh in 1991 and stayed there to do my VT (Long time ago.) Following this I joined the RAF as a dentist and travelled to Germany, The Falklands, England, Scotland, Norway, and eventually back to Northern Ireland.

I completed my MFGDP and first part MGDS while I was still serving and during this time I developed an interest in facial aesthetics (This probably coincided with finding grey hair and wrinkles) I started in 1994 with basic Botox and fillers and since then have completed advanced courses for both to enhance facial volume and treat tear troughs. I’ve also trained in Sculptra,Dermal rollers, and Mene and Moy facial peels – Glycolic and TCA. Next on the list of courses was a PDO threads course but Greg has suggested a different avenue and was going to source dates for training in PGF ??

On a personal level I am married to Darren, and we have 2 children, one 17 and the other is 8. The eldest is doing her As levels at Lurgan College and hopes to do something “Arty” and the youngest is in P4 and thinks he will be a premiership footballer (She has a good chance of getting there … not so sure about his wee dream)

I compete up to Gran Prix level showjumping, we have three horses at present, and a scruffy pony who bosses everyone around. I am busy most weekends out competing and train a couple of nights a week. I am also a deputy Show Jumping Association of Ireland Judge, and should sit my exams in 2016 for full status. I bake bread, make jam and love cooking and baking.

I am currently doing the Advanced Restorative, Aesthetic and Implant course tutoured by Tido Mankoo at Gentle Touch in Magherafelt. I hope this will give me a good grounding to be able to do some more soft tissue work.
