Kate Coyle

Kate qualified with Honors from Queens University in 2002. After a period in General Practice, Kate worked as Senior House Officer within the Hospital Dental Service. Soon after Kate began to develop her specialism of dental treatment to children and adolescents, particularly those with special care needs.
In 2006 she was appointed to a Specialist Registrar position in Pediatric Dentistry in the Belfast School of Dentistry and Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. She specialized in the management of dental anomalies, trauma, pediatric dent alveolar surgery and dental anxiety.

In 2011 Kate was appointed Consultant and Honorary Lecturer in Pediatric Dentistry in the University Dental Hospital of Manchester and the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
Kate accepts referrals from other dentists for advice and treatment and is committed to providing high quality dental care for young patients in a child-friendly and appropriate setting.

She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, the Irish Society of Disability and Oral Health, the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry (of which she was Chairperson of the NI Branch 2009-2010), and the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry. She is a representative for the Policy and Clinical Effectiveness Committee in Paediatric Dentistry nationally and a Specialty Advisor in Paediatric Dentistry for Royal College of Surgeons of England.
